From a standpoint of historical marketing analysis it was known that an almost overt effort was to target the black population with the branding of Pepsi. In the early 60s they shifted and also went after the “Pepsi Generation” with singer Joanie Summers singing a very catchy tune….”Those who think young, say ‘Pepsi’ please….they pick the right one, the modern light one, now its Pepsi….”
