“Palisades” is a MILITARY fort. We are for PEACE. How dare the most pristine part of California be identified with war and destruction!
Next they’ll change “Yosemite Valley” to “B52 Valley.“

“Palisades” is a perimeter for defense. This is OFFENSIVE as it suggests a place only for those who have permission to enter the enclosure. The not-so-subtle meaning in this name change is that the (formerly) Squaw Valley is to be enjoyed by only those, no doubt the white and wealthy, who will be allowed in the boundaries.
