“The bullet buttons allow users to rapidly exchange ammunition magazines by using a small tool or the tip of a bullet.” Think about it. Having to rotate the gun and use a tool or bullet to release a magazine slows down exchanging magazines. Nothing rapid about it. This was a California modification and they’re using it as an excuse to require registration. And all news agencies are regurgitating this false narrative. “A bullet button is a device used to remove a magazine in a semiautomatic rifle, replacing the magazine release with a block which forces the user to remove the… Read more »

Given how badly Cali. manages data, they probably lost the records.

I don’t have one of these but I totally understand the sinister methods and intentions of the folks that supposedly work for us, and as such I support the private ownership of these weapons. I’m sure I’m still on a list somewhere. Advice, watch what you say in any sites comments section.

Not about money rather snagging unsuspecting good citizens on a technicality: A potential criminal matter whereby you’d have to retain a criminal attorney to represent you; pun intended!

But.. once you leave the store.. It could be anywhere. They want definite locations and digital pics so they can bust down your door and ID it and you..

They basically want a list of names and addresses for future confiscation.

Democrats are enemies of the American people.

Democrats know that they cannot impose the tyranny of socialism on an armed populace.

All Democrats, not just “elected” ones should be forced to register. Democrats are far more dangerous to Americans than any “assault rifle” is. Need proof? They mass murdered the elderly over the last 2 years. They already take pride in the murder of babies.

hahahahahahahahahah.. How many times is this now since 1990.. ZIP.. If your dumb enough to tell them, then you deserve the 5am raid to confiscate your legally bought rifle.
Once you leave the store with it. They actually don;t know were it is. .. unless of course, you tell them and make it easy. Gavin has something very bad in mind that we would shoot them for doing to us.

Funny thing. When you read the law it seems to assume that your rifle is always assembled.
When stored, if you remove the upper from the lower using the takedown pins it’s not within the definition of “assault rifle.”

Scary black guns aren’t nearly as dangerous or scary as the politicians, tech titans and NGO funders wanting to keep them out of the hands of responsible people who have been under continuous attack for the last two years and who can see what’s coming.

The bullet buttons does NOT allow users to rapidly exchange ammunition magazines by using a small tool or the tip of a bullet. Complete lie.

A ‘bullet button’ replaces the original mechanism which you push with a finger tip with one that you must insert a thin tool, or the tip of a bullet into to release the magazine. It offers no performance advantages.

Even the bullet button has been deemed illegal by CA politicians. At least Benito called the politicains out for their arbitrary laws, definitions and configuration rules. I hope it all gets overturned.

PattyOfurniture

Or, if you actually know the laws, realize that you don’t need a bullet button at all if you want to play that game. Like, legally! If you have what they deem an “assault weapon”, remove the bullet button, add another part somewhere else, and then your rifle is no longer an “assault weapon” Yes, the laws are this stupid.

Fred Stevens

Indeed they are. Change out the flash hider and pistol grip and you can put a bullet button on an AR15 because its not an “assault rifle.”

Scary looking guns are bad, apparently.

Fred, I’m not sure you’re actually correct, perhaps I have misinterpreted the law. As I read it, if you get rid of the flash hider and pistol grip as you mention, the weapon is considered featureless- assuming there is no forward pistol grip and you have a fixed buttstock. The bullet button is STILL illegal as per that law in ’16 or whenever. Therefore, if you have a featureless rifle you can use a normal magazine release. You don’t need a bullet button, and actually your rifle would be illegal as per state law if you continued to use one.… Read more »

Not many went ahead and disabled their rifle with a bullet button. and lots of Standard mags are in circulation also.

John, that’s right, I forgot a 10+ magazine was an evil feature. But this applies to what I wrote previously as well to Fred. If you have a less than 10 round magazine you don’t need any disabling part on your rifle. I’m just tired of the arbitrary laws they dream up and hipocracy of it all. If you’re going to ban it, ban it. We’ll see how that holds up in a court of law. Stop dancing around it. They dance around it because they know they can’t ban it.
