Since we are paying for it, lets demand that they call it how it will be pronounced:
the constant pandering.
I’m all in favor of a holiday that celebrates the day this country ended a war and ended slavery. This is a great step in the history of our country. Fighting and winning a war against slavery is a huge, prideful thing to have done and I’m proud of this country for doing it.
That being said: Why do we have to name the day with a made up, childish name that makes everyone sound like they’re illiterate morons?
I’m all in favor too…just not a PAID holiday.
