Some people can’t put 2 and 2 together. Whenever you subsidize, esp on a regular basis you raise the prices around, hurting the middle class.

I dare the city to disclose who is receiving the “Free” funds. It might just be their family and friends, not necessarily the needy. where is the transparency??

How much fun is that…these stupid Californians are going to waste another 40K a month that will most likely get pissed away on drugs and crime!

Now it’s just buying votes.

This has been tried in other cities but strangely any results, positive or negative, have not been reported. I think the public should know what happens when tax dollars are given away.

How many are illegals? How many are on Section 8 housing? How many have serious criminal records?

Now, how many are disabled veterans and old Americans?

I love the term “free money.” Clearly the taxpayers are involuntarily donating this “free money.” I wish they would peaceably demonstrate to hold the people giving away all of this “free” money” accountable and to let them know it’s not free and to stop doing this.
